Work visa allows you to live and work in New Zealand temporarily. Work to Residence visa gives you the opportunity to apply for permanent stay after two years of work if you fulfill certain requirements regarding your profession and qualifications.
Duration of Essential Skills Work visa depends on the period you are nominated for a certain job and can be issued on a period of five years maximum. Work to Residence visa lasts 30 months.
Work visa application is submitted online through website of New Zealand’s Home Affairs.
Visa fee for Essential Skills Work visa application is 495NZD while fee for Work to Residence visa is 635NZD. Depending on the visa, the average processing time is from 50 to 90 days.
