Student visa is not required for students who wish to study in the Netherlands and come from member states of European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland. Students coming from third countries and wish to study longer than 3 months must have student visa and upon arrival to Netherlands they must apply for residence permit as well.

Visa fee application is usually 174 EUR, but it can vary depending on the education institution. The average processing time is up to 2 months.
